Pentatonic blues scale

Hello, since in the last post talking about the guitar, we talked about basic guitar chords, today we are going to talk about the blues pentatonic scale.

To do this, we will use the minor pentatonic scale. The pentatonic scale consists of five notes:

  1. The Root
  2. The minor third
  3. The perfect fourth
  4. The perfect fifth
  5. And the minor seventh

The third is minor, the fifth is perfect, and the seventh is also minor.
For playing solos and improvisations in blues, the Pentatonic Scale of the key we are in is generally used.

So, this type of scale can be played and adapted in various ways and positions on the fretboard:

I recommend starting with image number 1 and playing along with a guitar and/or bass backing track, as it will enhance motivation.

Musical greetings!
