Guitar circles, harmonic progressions

In music, as in every field, there are thousands of things that have already been worked out and that you can use; you do not need to read music to play them, just a bit of rhythm. We are talking about guitar circles, which are simply several chords in a row played repeatedly. For example, we could play:

  • Do – Lam – Fa – Sol
  • Do – Sol – Lam – Fa
  • Lam – Do – Sol – Sol
  • Lam – Rem – Lam – Mi7
  • Re – Do – Sol – Sol
  • Sol – Do – Sol – Re
  • Sol – Mim – Do – Re
  • Mim – La – Re – Sol
  • Lam – Fa – Sol – Lam
  • La – Mi – La – Re
  • Sol – Re – Lam – Do
  • Mi – La – Si7 – Mi
  • Do – Rem – Mim – Fa/Sol
  • Rem – Do – Sib – La (Andalusian cadence, por medio)
  • Lam – Sol – Fa – Mi (Andalusian cadence, por arriba)

There are a great many circles: long, short, slow, fast… The ones above are the most common, simple and basic. They can be played in many keys, and on the guitar they can easily be transposed with a capo.

Best wishes
