In flamenco, as in any other style, there is a series of formulas you need to know.
For example, the Andalusian cadence (por medio):
- Rem – Do – Sib – La*
- La7/Rem – Sol7/Do – Fa7/Sib – Solm/La*
Por arriba it would be the same but in E Phrygian:
- Lam – Sol – Fa – Mi*
- Mi7/Lam – Re7/Sol – Do/Fa – Rem/Mi*
